Covid-19 Church update
I woke up early this morning and thought, “I don’t want to do this anymore. I don’t want to wear a mask, I don’t want to take my temperature again, I don’t want to stay six feet away, I don’t want to stand in line to get into Walmart, I don’t want to watch another Cub game from 2016.” Can you relate?
Then I remembered these words from the Apostle Paul,
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up! Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” (Galatians 6:9, 10)
It is the right thing to do and it will not last forever. Soon we will be back to community worship in person, hugging and enjoying the close fellowship of a meal enjoyed together. So I decided to keep my eye on the prize and continue to follow the pathway of responsibility. May I suggest that, as Christ’s body, you accompany me in doing the same?
Until then, please plan to join me at www.calvarymemorialchurch.com this Sunday at 10:30 AM. I will be teaching part two of “The Heavenly News Conference,” God’s message to people caught in times of crisis found in the 91st Psalm. Then, while you are online, you can also share your prayer requests and even give an offering.
I assure you that I look forward to seeing all of you again very soon. Until then, if you are in need of pastoral care, feel free to contact me by telephone at 815-985-9729, email at David@CalvaryMemorialChurch.comor regular mail at Calvary Memorial Church ~ 2715 N. Be blessed and stay safe,
