CALVARY MEMORIAL CHURCH

CALVARY WHERE LIVES ARE CHANGED

Covid-19 Church News Letter

Dear Calvary Community members:

Praise the Lord! We are on target to resume gathering for worship on Sunday, July 5. It will be awhile, it appears, before things are back to normal, but as long as we follow the guidelines for such meetings, we will be able to provide a safe environment for doing so.

1. To keep groups under 50 we will offer three one-hour services: 8:00-9:00 AM, 9:30-10:30 AM and 11:00 AM-12:00 PM.

2. The 11:00 AM service will be held outside on the church grounds. Worshipers will be encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs (a limited number of sanitized vinyl chairs will also be available) for this service.
3. Worshipers will be asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. Worship leaders will not need to wear masks while on the platform, but will need to put them on as soon as they return to the congregation.
4. Hand sanitizer and antibacterial soap will be available and signs will be posted to encourage their use.
5. Physical contact like hugging and shaking hands will be discouraged. Offering plates will not be passed by worshipers and communion will be celebrated with individual sanitized, self-contained juice and wafer packets.
6. Worshipers will be asked to arrive no more than 15 minutes before the service they plan to attend and leave as soon as their service is concluded.
7. Children’s ministry will be offered at the 9:30 AM service only.
8. If you plan to play with the Praise Band you will need to contact Pastor David and let him know which service(s).
9. Van transportation will be offered for no more than 6 passengers to allow for social distancing. Those who plan to use this service will need to contact John Hazlewood the week before to let him know that you want to be picked up (9:30 AM service only – pick up 8:30-9:15).
10. Please be in prayer for your pastors and Elders as we prepare to make our return to group meetings a success.
This Sunday we will live stream worship only as Pastor Ed concludes his three-part sermon series on generosity. Plan to join us at 10:30 AM at www.calvarymemorialchurch.com.

Sincerely yours,
Pastor David (815-985-9728)
Pastor Ed (815-540-4824)
Pastor Dave (815-668-3815)
