REVEALED BY STEP (February 16th)
None of those who wait for You will be ashamed.
PSALM 25:3
Waiting is difficult, especially if we are expectantly hoping for God to answer our prayers or lead us in some specific manner. This is compounded by the fact that we live in a society that insists on immediate results—instant food, overnight shipping, downloadable resources, and information at our fingertips. If it can’t happen quickly, we often will be frustrated—tempted to give up and walk away.
However, experiencing the fullness of God’s will is not something that happens immediately. It takes time—often, a lifetime—to see His plan unfold. He may give us an idea as to what His will is, but it takes a life of step-by-step devotion to uncover His complete purpose for our lives. And the truth is, it is His mercy and compassion that limit what He reveals to us, lest we be overwhelmed by discouragement, fear, or—even worse—pride.
Friend, you don’t need the whole plan right now. When God instructs you to step forward, just obey Him. Go forward in faith. And as you trust Him, He will provide what you most long for—His leadership into a bright, fulfilling future.
Jesus, in the mountains and valleys, I follow You step-by-step. I will wait on You and trust You with my future. Amen.
